Question no 3263 : MAP changes

In SAP MM as at ECC6.0 EhP6, which of the following processes influences the Moving Average Price of the Material Master ?

(more than one answers)

A)  Goods Issue of  a Marerial.
B)  Goods Receipt of a Purchase Order.
C)  Source Plant of a Transfer Process.
D)  Destination Plant of a Transfer Process.
E)  Invoice Verification with reference to a Purchase Order.

  1. A) The Goods Issue in MM-IM uses the Price Control in Material Accounting view to determine which price (ie: Standard or MAP) which is the current valuation price of the Material, which therefore not able to influence the MAP.

  2. B) GR for MAP material could influence the MAP price when the PO price is different from the current MAP price. Even GR for Standard Price material will influence the Statistical MAP price when the PO price is different.

  3. C, D) In a transfer scenario, the source plant (supplying plant) goods issue the material using the current price of the material from the Accounting view. The destination plant (receiving plant) will have to absorb in that value and this may influence the re-calculation of the MAP price of the material at the receiving plant.

  4. LIV price differences for MAP material can debit or credit the stock and therefore influence the MAP price.
